These very limited edition “Bowie pattern” knives (the original “design” used by the men of Alamo which inspired Jim Bowie to create the most famous knife in American History), are exact replicas inspired by the knives made by Chuck Stapel specifically for the motion picture, "The Alamo” (© 2004 Touchstone Pictures), and as featured on the cover of the February 2004 edition of the bible of knife enthusiasts: “Knives Illustrated” (see article)

Only 13 of these special knives will be made in honor of the “13 Days of Glory” of the “Battle of the Alamo”! (see “story behind the knife”).

BLADE (12 Inches)

01 specially treated 3/16” thick tool steel. Rockwell to 58-60 (on C scale). Hand treated and shaped to create authentic
“hand forged hammered” appearance.

HANDLE

.6” faux-stag specially created mixed resins for extremely high-impact and perfect balance with over-sized blade. All handles cast from original stag design used to create the knives used in the motion picture “The Alamo”. Handle mold will be destroyed after limited editions are sold. Each handle is hand finished to create “fauna natural” detailing.

33” Polished Brass hand-shaped in “Warrior Tear-Drop” pattern.

Each knife will come with a Certificate of Authenticity, which will be numbered and signed. Each knife will also bear the date of one of the 13 “Days of Glory”, with a historical description (see “13 Days of Glory”).

Each knife will also include a custom made display stand (not pictured), made of natural woods of the region.

PLEASE NOTE: Since these special knives are hand crafted to order by Chuck Stapel, it can take some time until your personalized knife is ready. Chuck will give you an ETA as to when your knife should be ready along with your invoice. Please allow additional time if you order the custom sheath, since the sheath is custom fitted to the finished blade!
